We are now buying green power and saving the environment 3,200 tonnes of C02 a year

Over the past few years, Danske Fragtmænd has become actively involved in the climate campaign. Initiatives such as purchasing electric lorries, a new green company car policy and upcoming climate accounts are just some of the measures we have put in place. As the latest addition, we have switched to using only green power at all our locations.
We use about 10 million kWh a year, and the switch to green power will save about 3,200 tonnes of CO2 a year. Even if the initiative in the overall picture only moves the green bottom line slightly, the saying ‘many small streams make a big river’ probably applies here too.
Danske Fragtmænd’s biggest CO2 polluters are undoubtedly our lorries, and even if we want a shift to more sustainable solutions, the opportunities for the green transition here are still limited and very costly. However, that does not stop us, and even small initiatives have their justification, if only for the sake of goodwill.
