Danske Fragtmænd and Sanistål celebrate their 10th anniversary and extend their collaboration to 2025
15 December 2020
On Tuesday 8 December, Danske Fragtmænd and Sanistål signed a five-year contract extension worth approximately DKK 600 million. The agreement includes day distribution as well as night and crane distribution and contributes to reducing the carbon footprint.
Danske Fragtmænd and Sanistål have collaborated since 2010 when Danske Fragtmænd took over Sanistål transports which, until then, had been handled in-house. Now, ten years later, Danske Fragtmænd and Sanistål look back on an exciting journey that, in many ways, has contributed to developing both companies. Peter Sørensen, Sales Director at Danske Fragtmænd, says:
–There is no doubt that our collaboration with Sanistål has contributed to a positive development of both companies. Ongoing dialogue on optimising transport processes has always been an important foundation for our agreement with Sanistål. We are very proud of the solution that we have created in collaboration with Sanistål and we are pleased that they choose to continue working together with us.
Christian B. Lund, CEO of Sanistål, strongly agrees that the successful collaboration is founded on a close dialogue on opportunities for optimisation. However, he also mentions the high level of service and quality provided by Danske Fragtmænd as crucial in Sanistål choosing to extend the contract by another five years.
– Over the years, Danske Fragtmænd has provided a very high level of quality and service. This is naturally important because the businesses of our customers are deeply dependent on us being able to deliver on time and at the agreed location. By way of example, delivering to construction sites can be difficult to handle but here we also experience that Danske Fragtmænd provides high-quality deliveries.
The distribution of Sanistål products is undertaken in a so-called open system. It saves CO2 and this is very important, concludes Christian B. Lund.
–Danske Fragtmænd transports our products in an open system together with the products of other companies. In this way, we are different from many of our competitors that use closed systems. This means that we gain a competitive advantage because we achieve a significant CO2 reduction in the open versus the closed system. We work purposefully to reduce our overall impact on the environment and, in collaboration with Danske Fragtmænd, we can actually make a big difference.
