A flex job at Danske Fragtmænd helped Thomas get back to work

- I have had some traumatic experiences growing up, and unfortunately, this has given me some mental health challenges that I have had to struggle with throughout my life. This has made it very difficult for me to hold on to a job, actually Danske Fragtmænd is where I have been employed for the longest time, says Thomas Bro Glargaard.

Thomas Bro Glargaard is employed in a flex job at Danske Fragtmænd

An internship back in 2018 was the starting point for Thomas Bro Glargaard's employment at Danske Fragtmænd. Good collaboration between the former warehouse manager at Danske Fragtmænd and Resource Center Aalborg secured Thomas Bro Glargaard the flex job that he had been fighting for. Five days a week, four hours a day, Thomas Bro Glargaard works at the terminal in Aalborg. During the day he has many different tasks.

- When I started at Danske Fragtmænd, I worked three hours a day, but now I work four hours a day. I do everything from odd jobs to emptying containers for goods. I have some tasks that I do every day. Other than that, I help out where needed. I enjoy work that involves physical activity, which is one of the reasons why I like emptying containers.

For Thomas Bro Glargaard, working at Danske Fragtmænd has completely changed his life. The many hours during the day were spent in front of the computer, and the days seemed long.

- It has meant everything to me to work at Danske Fragtmænd. I've become much more open to other people, and I have a sense of purpose in my life again. I hope that I will be able to continue to work here at the terminal in Aalborg until I retire, Thomas Bro Glargaard concludes.

In addition to Thomas Bro Glargaard, we have several colleagues at Danske Fragtmænd who are employed in a flex job. Although we haven't set targets for the number of employees in flex jobs, we focus on making room for employees with reduced working capacity at Danske Fragtmænd.
