40-year anniversary in Sax-Trans
2 October 2017
Last Friday, Flemming Werner Jensen celebrated his 40th anniversary with the rest of his transport company Sax-Trans in Sakskøbing.
Flemming Werner Jensen’s career in the industry started somewhat randomly with a summer job with a local carrier, and he took over his first lorry in 1977. His early career included trips to Iran and Moscow, before he settled in Sakskøbing.
Since then, his company has grown steadily, with acquisitions of several carriers and carriage routes, and today Sax-Trans covers all of Lolland-Falster and Møn and is the region’s largest carrier. Flemming runs the business in close cooperation with his wife, Karin Bundsgaard Jensen, who is responsible for the HR administration and payroll.
Flemming is also member of Danske Fragtmænd’s Board of Directors, and even though he is rounding a sharp corner with his business, he has no plans to retire any time soon. He expects to be a carrier for another 10 years.
‘This is my baby. After all, I brought it up myself’, he says about the company.
